Azelia Ley Homestead Museum
The Azelia Ley Homestead Museum and its associated outbuildings are located in Manning Park, Hamilton Hill. The heritage listed residence was built between 1920 and 1923 for Azelia Ley (nee Manning) and offers a glimpse into the life of a prosperous settler family living in the Cockburn district.
The homestead was restored by government funding, Council support, and community effort in the early 1980s, and was officially opened as a museum on 12 November 1983.
Visitors to the museum can see a curated collection of furniture, clothing, photographs, paintings, toys, memorabilia, historical artefacts, farm machinery, and much more. The
Cockburn Historical Society oversees the administration and running of the Museum, supported by the City of Cockburn.
