Summary: The cattle trade between the Kimberley and Fremantle was a large and important industry by 1911. This photograph was published alongside an article describing the increasingly bigger shipments of cattle and sheep from the north-west of Western Australia, all landing at Robb Jetty. The jetty was built in 1877, and extended in 1894 to make it long enough for cattle steamships to dock and offload the livestock directly onto the jetty.
