Summary: George Frederick Powell was the son of Walter Powell, who owned and ran the Coogee Hotel. George (b.1887) worked in the hotel before opening a dairy nearby in about 1916, as well as running the small store on the hotel grounds. He married Agnes de san Miguel in 1910. The dairy was running into the 1940s, when it had expanded to Rockingham.
