Summary: The Fremantle to Armadale railway was a huge political topic for Jandakot residents in the early 20th century. A railway would allow market gardeners to get their produce to Fremantle on market days much quicker than the difficult sandy roads. Many deputations were sent to Perth to talk to ministers, and whenever politicians made the journey to Jandakot they were subjected to the demands of residents for a railway. Here the settlers take the opportunity of the 8th Annual Jandakot Agricultural Show to ask visiting ministers to hear their views.
