Summary: The cattle trade between the Kimberley and Fremantle was a large and important industry by 1911. This photograph was published alongside an article describing the increasingly bigger shipments of cattle and sheep from the north-west of Western Australia, all landing at Robb Jetty. Copley & Co was an abattoir firm with premises at South Fremantle, and in 1911 new sale yards were built there to accommodate the growing numbers of livestock arriving for auction every week.
