Summary: The cattle trade between the Kimberley and Fremantle was a large and important industry by 1911. This photograph was published alongside an article describing the increasingly bigger shipments of cattle and sheep from the north-west of Western Australia, all landing at Robb Jetty. Dalgety & Co. were stock managers and auctioneers with yards at Beaconsfield within easy reach of Robb Jetty. Here they are handling 4500 sheep from Yarraloola Station in the Pilbara region.
